Emetophobia: Hannah is scared of Chicken! You do not have to be.

The BBC News webpage features an article about Hannah Ellis, an emetophobia sufferer. Hannah has suffered for many years. The article mentions various treatments but neglects to mention the most effective one by a long way. The Thrive Programme (Cure your emetophobia and Thrive)

From the article: “Nobody likes being sick. But Hannah Ellis says her fear of vomiting is so intense that “chicken scares me” and she panics if friends or family fall ill. The 19-year-old from Sheffield has emetophobia, a condition affecting thousands people in the UK.
My flatmates are probably wondering why I’m eating pasta and tomato sauce for the fourth evening in a row.
It’s not because I’m skint, the truth is that chicken or the thought of reheating food is terrifying.
My phobia of vomiting – even the word churns my stomach – dictates nearly every aspect of my life.
‘I feel guilty’”

The UK is the least equipped among wealthy nations for mental well-being!

According to the Daily Mail, Britons are the most miserable, stressed and least well equipped amongst wealthy nations for mental well-being.

“The mental health of Britons is the worst in western Europe, an official analysis revealed yesterday.
A report suggests we are suffering stress by choosing careers that cause us to lose touch with family, friends and neighbourhoods.
A table ranked the UK as the least equipped among wealthy nations for mental well-being and the ability to deal with the problems posed by everyday life.
At 59 per cent, Britain was just three points above the Baltic republic of Latvia – which had the lowest score in the European Union…….”
