Here in Canada we’re experts at apologizing even if we’re standing still and someone bumps into us. But this apology is a big one and I take full responsibility. Our site has been down for about 2 weeks now and for one of those weeks I was away on holiday with just an iPhone and spotty internet connection. David and my assistant, Alex, struggled through but couldn’t fix the problem and it turns out it was unfixable.
I was frustrated with our domain registrar and host server because they would “forget” to process our auto monthly payments and the site would be down for a whole day or even two. So I had the bright idea to transfer everything to a new registrar and host.
Long story short (and believe me, it’s incredibly long) we lost absolutely everything. We were supposed to back it all up on our home computers but we’re therapists and thus people persons and not tech wizards so no, we didn’t. We will now. Promise. Pinky swear.
Thanks to our friend Willy of www.biajourney.com he discovered an archive of the old site. So it takes a little copy-and-paste time but it’s all there. We decided it would be good to make the new site even better than the old, and we’re working on it, but it will take some time.
I managed to get the adult exposure stuff back up pretty quickly and I’ve refined it now. The other resources will come a little more slowly. So if you need anything, don’t hesitate to contact my admin assistant, Alex, at admin@emetophobiahelp.org. She has all the content now and can send you whatever you need.
Thank you to everyone who’s hanging in there with us. We promise to make this site as reliable as humanly possible from now on.
